Our new bar has been serving customers since the winter shutdown.
Our new bar was fitted as part of our winter shutdown. Opening a few weeks ago, it has enhanced the Shipwreck’s look and is making ordering easier. It’s a great excuse to come and enjoy eating and drinking at The Shipwreck!

We, at the Shipwreck are adhering to the reopening guidelines and have made a number of amendments to service, to ensure you can have an enjoyable drink or meal with us in a safe environment.
We have many sanitising stations for your use and our already thorough cleaning schedule is enhanced. Please allow our staff time to clean in between guests at tables.
Our main priority is to ensure everybody has an enjoyable experience whilst keeping everyone safe. So please respect social distancing and be patient with each other as we get used to the new changes. Things may take a little longer than normal as we adapt to the procedures due to social distancing in the kitchen as well as behind the bar.

Why not meet up at The Shipwreck?
We welcome walking groups at The Shipwreck Bar and Restaurant. We make a great base for walks on the Shotley peninsula, so why not meet for a coffee before your walk. Alternatively, arrive in the morning, order your lunch and we’ll be ready for you when you return.
Now taking bookings, The Shipwreck Loft is provides comfortable, modern accommodation for short breaks or holidays adjacent to Shotley Marina and part of The Shipwreck Bar and Restaurant complex.
